Founder and WaterSISWEB Projectís Leader


Kaveh Madani is a founder of SISWEBS and the WaterSISWEB projectís leader. He is an assistant professor at University of Central Florida (UCF) with a focus on water resources engineering and management. Kaveh got his masters in water resources at Lund University, Sweden and holds a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from University of Tabriz, Iran. Prior to joining UCF, Kaveh was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Water Science and Policy Center (WSPC) of University of California, Riverside.

Kaveh is tied to volunteer jobs and student activities. As an undergrad, he experienced being the President of Civil Engineering Students Society, Co-Founder of Tourism Club, Member of Directorial Board of National Civil Engineering Students' Organization, and Editor in Chief of the Scientific Journal of Civil Engineering Students. At UC Davis, he was a Graduate Students Associationís Representative. As a faculty, he is advising the UCF Chapter of Engineers Without Borders (EWB).

Kaveh loves traveling and you can probably find him in many water resources conferences. He is now trying to get adapted to living in Florida - a different world from California!
